The Eastlands actually have several names. Some use a more modern moniker, Midworld, while others call it Old Earth or The Old World. The Eastlands extend thousands of miles from the extreme northern tip near the equator down to the south pole covered in thick ice and rough terrain. The Ur Mountains march tall from the Western shore, diagonally across the continent, through the nation of Torkash and to the Eastern shore. Rough terrain does rise here and there through the north and the south, but the Ur Mountains shame them in comparison. Into the ocean, to the northeast of the continent, thousands of islands spring up from the sea. Some are barren, rocky, arid places. Others enjoy yearly rains and are support lush jungles.
Much of the continent is arid plains and mountains, but there are many regions which boast gardenscapes and farmland, including the nations of Ur and Torkash. The Eastlands have no truly remarkable features besides the Ur Range, however it is a land of history. While Hejmedaal and Nebushiresu have been prone to massive upheavals, the Eastlands have been largely untouched by the ravages of the Powers. Hundreds, perhaps thousands of ruins dot the landscape. Ancient buildings still stand in Brittannia, Jerusalem, and Torkash.
Unfinished. Torkashian steppe farming feeds most of the people who live on the continent, though some trade comes from Nebushiresu and, more recently, Kansas. The city of Jerusalem, a truly ancient city, is the crown jewel of the continent. Its massive buildings, bustling streets, massive population, and deep history make it the trade center of the world.
2885-2999: Mankind and the Champions began to reclaim the East including Britannia, Jerusalem, and Torkash. These lands had been demolished and barren, leaving little more than rubble and wasteland. Gaia wept at the sight of it all.
4010: In 4010, the First Dragon War erupted in the East between the metallic and chromatic dragons. Many of the battles were fought near or even over Jerusalem. Thousands people were killed in the fighting and hundreds of buildings were destroyed. This war, however impressive it seemed at the time, proved only to be a preamble for what was to come.
